Bibles for Europe ("BfE", "we", "our", or "us") strives to protect your personal information and use it in a manner consistent with applicable data protection laws. Part of these laws is that you have a right to privacy information in a way that is easy to access, read, and understand.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

BfE may gather personal information from you when you: 

  • Request information from us; 
  • Order a Bible from us; 
  • Sign up for our services, such as newsletters or informational email journeys; 
  • Contact us using our forms on Sites; 
  • Register to attend our events, such as an online webinar or a seminar 
  • Make an online contribution / donation to us. 

We also collect non-identifying demographic and interest data through Google Analytics Demographic and Interest Reporting and QR Code Tracking. You may opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising through Google's Ads Settings or via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, please visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. 

The Sites may contain links to our partners' websites or other places of interest who may collect your personal information. SPECIAL CATEGORIES PERSONAL INFORMATION

However, BfE may disclose your personal information to the following categories of third-party recipients where we consider it necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice: 

  • to third parties who provide services to us or on our behalf, such as IT hosting providers, email providers, data backup providers, stock arrangements, Bible deliveries, informational email deliveries, QR code tracking, and donation processing, if it is necessary to provide you with our services, respond to your queries or for any other related purposes; 
  • to any competent law enforcement, judicial or regulatory authority to comply with the law or assist in a criminal or regulatory investigation, or to protect us (for example, to help prevent fraud or protect or enforce our rights); and 
  • to any other person if the relevant data subject(s) have consented. 

BfE does not undertake marketing activities for third parties, nor does it provide your personal information to third parties for any commercial purposes. 

 

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

We do our utmost to protect your privacy. Data protection laws oblige us to follow security procedures regarding the storage and disclosure of personal information you have given us in order to avoid unauthorised loss or access. As such, we and our data processors have implemented industry-standard security systems and procedures to protect your personal information from unauthorised disclosure, misuse, or destruction. 

 

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

We will retain your personal information for as long as required for the purposes set out above, or as required to comply with applicable law or to defend or enforce our legal rights.  

 

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION 

We may transfer your personal information to a recipient based in a country outside of the UK and / or European Economic Area ("EEA"). Where we do so, we will ensure that such transfer is in accordance with our obligations under applicable data protection laws.

You have the right to request the erasure of your personal information in certain circumstances. If we process your personal information on the basis of our legal obligation, this right will not be available.

We do not have any automated decision-making or carry out profiling activities using your personal information.
